Add some color to your clothes with a fun dyeing technique.
If you've ever seen tie-dyed shirts and wondered how they were made, here's your chance to try it out for yourself. After learning different ways to create patterns by folding and tying, we will use multiple fun methods to tie dye our fabric. We will decorate different pieces of clothing and a bright flag working with colored Sharpies, liquid dyes, and bleach.
You can register your youth for an optional supervised lunch from 12-1 pm for the duration of this class.
We will finish a few different projects using different types of tie dye - two shirts dyed using different methods, and a Sharpie-dyed flag.
Students should bring two pre-washed shirts - one white and one dark cotton.
