red lentil spinach dhal Join Madhu for this lively Indian main dishes class. You’ll be making a couple of her favorite (and popular!) dishes to include aloo mutter (a curried potato dish) a red lentil spinach dhal alongside a warming winter chai tea. These foods are beautiful, fragrant, and full of flavor with spices and seasonings common in Indian food cooking.  We think you’ll be pleased to know that these recipes are not only sure to delight the palate but fairly easy to prepare!

Instructor Bio:
Madhavi (Madhu) Prakash holds a Master's degree in Botany and is very passionate about learning and teaching about plants and foods. Growing up in India her family not only considered food an important source of nutrition but as Sacred. Her Mom and Grandma were amazing cooks and she learned from them the most traditional and authentic recipes and techniques. The women of her family were raised with the knowledge of identifying food as medicine and cooking accordingly.  Food and cooking have always been Madhu’s passions. She has conducted several Indian cuisine classes and is also vegetarian so cooks using fruits, veggies, lentils, grains, seeds, and dairy.
