This class will focus on several new techniques you can incorporate into your enameling designs.
Topics to be covered include:
Decals and Transfers, gold and silver leaf, and mica powders. You will have access to all of the tools you learned in the Intro to Enameling Class. This project class is structured for you to continue your enameling practice and students are encouraged to bring prepared copper blanks and unfinished pieces from previous classes to maximize their time experimenting with enameling techniques and improving skills.

This is a intermediate class. Prerequisite: This class is for students who have completed an Intro to Enameling class. Please check your BARN account before you register to ensure you have completed this prerequisite by viewing the link for "Registrations and events" in your profile. Karin Lee Luvaas is a local Bainbridge Island artist and jeweler. With an art degree in encaustics, painting and metal sculpture, Karin has studied under acclaimed jewelry masters Michael Boyd, Kent Raible, Petra Class, and Sarah Graham and achieved Graduate Jeweler status under Alan Revere of the world renowned Revere Academy of San Francisco, California. Karin is also a GIA certified Graduate Gemologist and holds a Jewelers of America Bench Jeweler Technician certificate.
