**This workshop will be conducted via live streaming with Zoom.**

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn to create a lay-flat book with hard cover and heavyweight pages using the heifer hitch binding technique. This book structure is perfect for small journals or photo books. You will create three finished HH books—two sizes, plus your 3” x 4” learning model. No art experience necessary, but some bookbinding knowledge is helpful. BARN will mail the materials for the three books to registered students.

Students will need to supply:

  • 1/8” paper punch (this size is important to the project)
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • double-stick tape
  • glue stick
  • pencil

  • Please note that registration closes Wed. 11-4, to allow time to mail the kits needed for this class. Please be sure to enter your correct mailing address when registering.
  • This class will be taught via the Zoom video conferencing program. For a great video on how to use Zoom, watch this tutorial.
  • An email will be sent to you one
day before the class starts with the Zoom link to join the class. Please watch for this email.
  • In gratitude to our members for their continued support during the closures, BARN is offering all classes for free to BARN members through December 2020.  Members are still responsible for paying materials and mailing fees, where applicable. If a class is full, please add your name to the wait list in case a space opens up or we are able to offer another class. Check our calendar frequently as more classes are being added each week!
