**This workshop will be live streamed via Zoom.** 

This is a joint BARN and Battle Point Astronomical Association (BPAA) class. In this four session class students will get an overview of “What’s out there” and “How do we know”. The class format will be some general comments followed by one or more ‘curated' video's followed by discussion.

  • Session 1 - “Looking Up” - Solar system, Constellations, Our galaxy
  • Session 2 - “Aids to the eye” A brief history of telescopes and what they do.
  • Session 3 - “The Full Spectrum” - Electromagnetic radiation, detectors, and the physical processes they reveal
  • Session 4 - “Looking Back” - The Big Bang, Expansion of the Universe
