Are you seeking a new pathway into a rewarding career that does not require an academic degree? One that allows you to work with your hands and takes advantage of your creativity? There is a growing need for craftspeople and artists in the workforce. And young adults and people in transition need alternatives to a 4-year degree. Beginning in the fall of 2019, BARN will meet both of those needs by offering Certificate Programs in Woodworking or Jewelry-Making.
Certificate students will learn through classes, guided and independent studio time, and participation in community service projects. Students will progress through three quarters, gradually moving into more advanced application of needed skills and building a portfolio of work.
