Summer Youth: Nuts and Bolts of the Machine Shop (ages 14-18)

For youth ages 14 - 18

Come spend an afternoon in the machine shop learning the nuts and bolts of metal machining. Machining involves lathes, drill presses, and milling machines with the use of various cutting tools. You will be making a nut and bolt to take home.




When registering for class, you will be required to pay an additional $5 materials fee.

  • Students must wear natural fiber clothing, long pants, closed toe shoes, no stretch fabrics, hair tied back, no dangling jewelry.  
  • This 1-day, 3 hour class is also offered on July 26, and 27. It is not sequential.

Instructor: 

This class will be taught by a variety of experienced instructors from BARN's Metal Arts Studio.
