Video is more doable than ever before, with lower-cost video equipment and more intuitive software.

You can exercise your creativity by learning to tell a short video story of your family, nonprofit or business. Or find out how to join one of our teams of learners and teachers making short "how-to-do-it" videos of BARN craft projects, or video podcasts of community events.

This introductory overview class is for you if you’re wanting to get started in video, or have a little experience and want to take the next step.

In two hours, you’ll get an overview of: planning a short video; ways to share videos on the internet; how to use a smartphone as an entry-level video camera; what's the gist of video editing in software like iMovie or Final Cut Pro (used by BARN).

The instructors will offer examples of short 4 to 8 minute videos they've produced as Bainbridge Community Broadcasting.

And this is a step to qualify to use BARN's video post-production studio, and to tell us what further courses in video you'd like BARN to offer.

The two instructors are: (1) the BARN Media Arts and BCB Studio lead Barry Peters (left, above), and (2) experienced local video producer John Mckenzie (right) who had two video productions shown in the recent Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival.

The class is being held at the BARN-BCB studio, 325 Tormey Ln NE, #144, off of Hildebrand Lane next to Silver Screen Video.
