Podcasting (sometimes called "internet radio") is a fun and interesting activity that you can learn to do. And BARN has a new Studio for creating podcasts in a fun and engaging social setting. This one-session introductory and interactive overview class will be led by the three most experienced podcast makers of BARN’s new Media Arts and BCB Studio.

You’ll learn:

  • What’s a podcast?
  • How do you search for them, subscribe, and listen in?
  • What accounts for the remarkable growth in podcast making and listening?
  • How does a podcast host progress from an idea through the studio recording or interview stage?
  • What does an audio editor do with voice and music?
  • What social media skills and channels work with podcasts?
  • What are the potential opportunities to practice podcasting in a lively community like Bainbridge with so many events, ideas and interesting people to meet and share?

Instructors: BCB’s Barry Peters; Channie Peters and Chris Walker. Collectively, they and other BCB volunteers have produced nearly 500 Bainbridge community podcasts in three years, which can be viewed and heard at BestofBCB.org

Optional: Stay for a Q&A session from 8:30 to 9pm
